Board of Trustees
	Karen Bleich, a radiologist with Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is the mother a Friends student.
Tom Brooks	Tom Brooks, an independent energy investment consultant, serves on the Finance Committee. Appointed to the Board in 2009, he presently has two children enrolled at Friends.
Sue Carnell	Sue Carnell, a retired administrator with Baltimore City Community College, is Vice Chair of the Board. The mother of four alumni--all of whom attended Friends for 12-plus years--and the grandmother of four current students, she is a member of Stony Run Friends Meeting. Appointed to the Board in 2006, she is Clerk of the Diversity Committee and serves on the Committee on Trustees, the Joint Nominating Subcommittee, the Quaker Mission Oversite Committee, and the Executive Committee.
Alice Cherbonnier	Alice Cherbonnier, president of Allegro Communications and managing editor of the Baltimore Chronicle, was appointed to the Board in 2005. She previously served two seven-year terms as a Friends Trustee. A former clerk of Stony Run Friends Meeting, Ms. Cherbonnier serves on the Quaker Mission Oversight, Development, and Diversity Committees, and is the liaison between the School and the Meeting. She is the mother of a Friends alumnus.
Alison Fass '77	Alison Fass ’77, a psychotherapist in Baltimore, is a member of the Committee on Trustees. Appointed to the Board in 2004, she is the alumni liaison to the Board, and is the mother of a current Friends student and an alum.
Suzy Filbert	Suzy Filbert, a speech pathologist for Baltimore County Public Schools, is member of the Quaker Mission Oversight Committee and the Committee of Trustees. Appointed to the Board in 2005, she is the mother of a current Friends student, and is a member of Stony Run Friends Meeting.
Norman Forbush '78	Norman Forbush '78, a marketing consultant, is Treasurer of the Board. The clerk of Finance Committee, he is a member of the Executive, Development, and Building Committees. Appointed to the Board in 2007, he is the parent of a current Friends student and is a member of Stony Run Friends Meeting.
Thora Johnson '88	Thora Johnson '88 is a partner with the law firm of Venable, LLP, where she represents charitable and educational organizations in corporate and tax matters. Appointed to the Board in 2008, she is the clerk of the Committee on Trustees. Ms. Johnson is the mother of two Friends School students and is a member of Stony Run Friends Meeting.
Andre Jones	Andre Jones, a middle school geography teacher at Gilman School, serves on the Diversity Committee. He is the father of a Friends alumnus and is a member of Stony Run Friends Meeting.
Howard Loewenberg	Howard Loewenberg, a managing director and Head of Investment Banking for Signal Hill Capital Group, clerks the Investment Management Subcommittee, and is a member of the Executive and Finance Committees and the Audit Subcommittee. Appointed to the Board in 2004, he is the father of two Friends students.
Elizabeth McKennon	Elizabeth McKennon, a principal specializing in public finance with the law firm of McKennon Shelton & Henn LLP, serves on the Finance, and Quaker Mission Oversight Committees, and the Audit Subcommitee. Appointed to the Board in 2006, she is the mother of two alumnae.
Gerry Mullan	Geraldine M. Mullan, an attorney with Coventry Resources Corporation, serves on the Development Committee. Appointed to the Board in 2005, she is the mother of a current Friends student and an alumnus.
Will Pisano '11	Will Pisano '11 is the student representative to the Board of Trustees. A former member of the Upper School Senate, where he served in 2009-10 as co-president, he is a member of the Concert Chorale, Debate Team, plays Varsity Squash and is co-head the Save Darfur Club.
Dorothy H. Powe	Dorothy H. Powe, Director, Investor Relations with McCormick & Co., Inc., is Board Secretary and serves on the Quaker Mission Oversight and Executive Committees. She also serves as the Board liason to Samuel Ready Scholarships, Inc. Appointed to the Board in 2005, she is the mother two Friends alumae.
Anne Powell	Anne Powell is a longtime Friends School volunteer and the mother of two alumni. Appointed to the Board in 2006, she clerks the Development Committee and is a member of the Finance Committee and the Committee on Trustees.
Edwin Remsberg '83	Edwin Remsberg '83 is a professional photographer whose clients include University of Maryland, Getty Images and Johns Hopkins University Press. He also raises sheep on a 20-acre farm in Harford County, MD. Appointed to the Board in 2007, Mr. Remsberg is a member of the Building Committee and the Quaker Mission Oversight Committee. He is the father of three children, two of whom attend the School, and is a member of Little Falls Friends Meeting.
Steve Rives	Stephen Rives is a teacher at St. Paul's School for Girls in Brooklandville, MD. Appointed to the Board in 2008, he serves on the Diversity and Quaker Mission Oversight Committees. He is a member of Gunpowder Friends Meeting.
Carole Schreck	Carole Schreck, a property manager at Real Estate Dimensions, serves on the Development and Finance Committees as well as the Investment Management Subcommittee. Appointed to the Board in 2006, she is the mother of two Friends School students and a member of Stony Run Friends Meeting.
Daryl Sidle
William Smillie	Bill Smillie, a former executive in IBM's Global Business Services unit and currently president of Tamarac Consulting LLC, has just completed a three-year term as Chair of the Board. A Board member since 2004, he sits on the Executive Committee and the Committee On Trustees. Mr. Smillie is the father of two alumni.
Deirdre Stokes	Deirdre Stokes, an assistant professor of nursing at Baltimore City Community College, serves on the Committee on Trustees and the Joint Nominating Committee. Appointed to the Board in 2004, she is the mother of two Friends alumni.
Mark Stromdahl	Mark Stromdahl, principal of the Bel Air, MD-architectural firm Edmeades & Stromdahl, Ltd., is Chair of the Board. He is Clerk of the Executive Committee and serves Ex Officio on all committees. Apointed to the Board in 2005, he is the father of a Friends alumnus and is a member of Little Falls Friends Meeting.
	John Watt teaches Middle School mathematics at Friends and is a co-clerk of the School's Diversity Council. He serves on the Board's Diversity Committee. He is the father of two Friends alumni.
Mark Weinman	Mark Weinman is president of The Morris Weinman Company, a commercial real estate development and management firm. Appointed to the Board in 2009, he is Co-clerk of the Building Committee and serves on the Finance Committee. He is the father of three Friends students.
Bill White	Bill White is vice president of client development for Corbyn Investment Management. Appointed to the Board in 2009, he serves on the Development and Finance Committees and the Investment Management Subcommittee. He has one child presently enrolled at Friends.
