Novice Events

Sunday, Dec. 2 - MSWA Novice tournament at Friends. Weigh in is staggered by age - check the registration form for your time. Cost: $20.00 (Scholarship available for NBWC wrestlers if needed) Coaches: Spawn and others

Saturday, Dec. 8 - Middle River Rhino Novice tournament at Chesapeake HS (Balt. Co. - NOT the Chesapeake HS in AA Co!) All ages weigh in from 8:45-9:15, wrestle from 10-2. Registration form here. You must be pre-registered with Coach Spawn by Thursday, 12/6 to attend. Cost: $12.00 (Scholarship available for NBWC wrestlers if needed) Coaches: TBA

Sunday, Dec. 16 - MSWA Novice tournament at Chesapeake HS in AA Co (NOT the Chesapeake HS in Balt. Co.!). Weigh in is staggered by age - check the registration form for your time. Cost: $20.00 (Scholarship available for NBWC wrestlers if needed). Coaches: Spawn and others

Saturday, Dec. 22 - Old Mill Novice tournament at Old Mill HS. Weigh in Friday night from 6-8 PM . You must be preregistered - download the registration form here and call Friday to talk your way in! Cost: $20.00 Coaches: On your own Please email Coach Spawn with your results.

Sunday, Dec. 30 - Perry Hall Novice - Email Doug Yoakum by Friday at ddphgators@yahoo.com with your name, age and weight if you plan to attend. Tournament will be 10-2 at Perry Hall HS (enter down ramp at back). Cost is $7.00.

Saturday, Jan. 5 - Rollaround at Fallston MS, right next to Fallston HS. Under 100 pounds, first year. Time: 8 and unders should arrive between 8:45 and 9:00, while 9 and older should arrive between 10:15-10:30. No cost to participate. Coach: Spawn

Sunday, Jan. 6 - MSWA East Region Novice tournament at Mardela, MD. Weigh in is staggered by age - check the registration form for your time. Cost: $20.00 (Scholarship available for NBWC wrestlers if needed). Coaches: On your own

Saturday, Jan. 19 - UCWL Dual meet tournament at Aberdeen HS - this will be a select roster - we can only enter one wrestler per weight class. Weighin at 8:00 AM for Elementary, 12:00 for MS. No cost to participate.

Saturday, Jan. 26th - UCWL match at Aberdeen HS with Bel Air, North East, Hereford and Aberdeen. Weighin: Postponed by Aberdeen late Friday night, due to a basketball conflict MS - now 10 AM; Elem - 12:00. No cost to participate. Coach Coach: TBD

Saturday, Feb. 2 - Middle School Championships at St. Pauls School - NBWC wrestlers who attend independent schools will attend with their school team. NBWC also has the option of entering a club team of public school students. Register with your school coach or Coach Spawn. Cost is covered by team. Time: TBA

Sat 2/2 Braeden Alevizatos, Demitrius Johnson, Garrett Pfeifer and Peter Gaetano have been selected to the Anne Arundel Co. League All-Star team to wrestle in the McDonogh Duals. Good Luck. This is the toughest kids event around.

The weekend of Feb 23, 24. Coach Pfeifer is planning a “Team Builder” weekend of wrestling. ~~We will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa on Friday night ,then wrestle in the Burrell Super Trophy tournament on Saturday.~~ Saturday night we will then travel to State College ,PA where we will wrestle in the Nittany Lions Tournament. Listed below are the entry forms which should be sent asap. These are both age/weight events but they will be filled with good wrestlers. We will stay in hotels with indoor pools, usually the reason to attend, but since we will be getting in late we may not have as much play time. If you think you would like to attend, contact Coach Pfeifer asap. I do not have any connections at these events so if you do not enter on time you will not get in.
