How do I make a stock gift to Friends?

Call the Development Office at (410) 649-3206 and let us know that you are making a gift to the Friends School account.
You will be given the name and phone number of our representative.
Have your broker electronically transfer your stock to our account.

Tax Saving Benefits

By transferring shares of stock to Friends School you can realize tremendous tax savings. If you have owned shares of stock for more than a year, you can:

Deduct the full market value of the stock.
Avoid paying tax on the increase in value.

Stock is valued at the average sale price on the date of the gift. The Development Office will send a gift acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.
