Join Friends on October 23 for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Baltimore, MD—For the third consecutive year, Friends School is organizing a team to participate in The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Race for the Cure on Sunday, October 23, 2011 in Hunt Valley, MD. All members of the School community are invited to participate. Friends School’s team is currently ranked in the top 100 teams in Maryland, according to Erin Zimmerman, Middle School technology educator, who has organized the School’s efforts since 2008. “Our goal is to raise $5,000 and recruit 50 team members,” she says, noting, “we’re about halfway there on both fronts.” To join the School’s team and make a contribution, go to http://www.komenmd.org/2011/friendsbalt.
