Auditions for Friends' Summer Stock production of "Pippin" Set for March 11

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 11, 2012

Baltimore, MD—Attention area high school actors and singers! Summer Stock at Friends will hold auditions for its July 2012 production of the Steven Schwartz Broadway musical “Pippin” on Sunday, March 11, from 1-4 p.m. in the Friends School Auditorium, 5114 N. Charles Street. The audition is open to all current high school students and eighth graders from area public, independent and parochial schools.

Participants are asked to arrive promptly at 1 p.m. prepared to sing a Broadway song (a tune from “Pippin” is preferred, but not required) and to do some dancing. An accompanist will be provided. Please plan on staying through the close of auditions.

Performance dates for “Pippin” are Friday through Sunday, July 20-22, 2012. Rehearsals will take place weekdays, 7 – 10 p.m., from June 25 through July 19.
