How do I order books from MBS Direct Virtual Bookstore?

Using the website prompts, there are six easy steps to follow:
      1. Click the Buy Course Materials button
      2. Select your division
      3. Select your class
      4. Select your books
      5. Select your shipping method
      6. Pay for your order with a major credit card
 
Your order will be instantly submitted to the MBS Direct database. Moments after you submit your request, you will get a confirmation email letting you know that we have received it. And we guarantee that you will have your books before classes start.

Can I order from MBS Direct over the phone?

Yes, but MBS recommends that you order via the Virtual Bookstore due to its convenience and cost savings.
 
They are available seven days a week at the following times (CDT/CST):
Monday - Thursday 7 a.m. - 9 p.m.        Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.                           Sunday Noon - 4 p.m.

What if I do not have a home computer or Internet access? Can I still order boks online?

Yes. Friends School will have special online purchasing stations setup on campus for use by our families beginning in mid-July. Please contact the Quaker Closet at 410.649.3235 for more information.

How will my books be delivered?

Textbooks are delivered via UPS by one of three methods: Ground, Second Day Air, or Next Day Air. You pay the current UPS rate based on weight of the package and where the package is being shipped. Priority Mail is also available.

What if I have a problem during the ordering process?

What is the MBS Return Policy?

If for any reason you need to return a book, you can ship it to us up to 14 days after the start of class or your original purchase date, and we will give you a full refund.

Can I purchase used books?

While you may purchase new books, MBS textbook buyers make every effort to maximize the number of used books available, providing you with a 25% savings.

What about textbook buyback?

Two weeks prior to the end of class, you will receive a letter or email ( if your books have a resale value) listing the price MBS Direct will pay for your textbooks. In addition, an online Web site is provided for students wishing to sell their books back upon completion of a course. A prepaid shipping label will be included for your convenience in sending the books back for resale. MBS will send a check directly to you for the value of any books they purchase from you in buyback.
