Your Money At Work

The more than $50,000 raised each year by the FSPA goes to support a wide variety of activities and purchases at the school, and is a critical part of our child’s education.

Some of these dollars go to pay for the fabulous School Directories that any of us depend on daily to contact friends and teachers or to remember important dates. Other dollars support activities like the annual Teacher Appreciation Lunch, drug education, educational speakers, class and division picnics, campus plant care, special class events, and support for the arts.

"Wish List"

Each year, a portion of our funds is given to help teachers purchase items that will enhance our children’s educational experience. Called the “Wish List,” the total value of all of the following items donated by the Parents Association for the 2008/2009 year is about $10,000. General fundraising helped grant the following wishes:

Music Instruments
Cabinet Treatment Table for athletic training room
Middle School Recycling Bins
Bookcases for Lower School library
Seating for Freshman Hall

Educational Testing Fund
The Community Fund is an educational testing fund to assist families pay for academic testing. We have funded $10,000 to the fund.

PA Tuition Fund
We contribute annual gifts towards the fund. We have funded over $36,000 to the Tuition Fund since its establishment.

Scholarship for Private Lesson Music Studenst in 2010-2011
The FSPA strongly supports the development of artistic talents of our children. We have set aside approximately $1000 for a scholarship to a student who enrolls in Private Music Lessons at the school during the 2010-2011 academic year.
