CIEE Gap Year Abroad	Gap Year	Full Year
A Gap Year Abroad with CIEE offers college-bound graduates an opportunity to acquire a broader global perspective, foster independence and gain self-knowledge. CIEE's Gap Year abroad programs offer teaching work, language immersion programs, and gap year volunteer work.
CITYterm	Semester	1 semester
Using New York City as the classroom and laboratory, CITYterm brings together seven residential faculty and 30 intellectually adventuresome juniors and seniors in high school for a semester of intensive, experience-based learning.
Coastal Studies for Girls	Semester	1 semester
Provide high school sophomore girls an opportunity to excel in science and technology in a community committed to academic, experiential and inspirational learing.
Island School	Semester	1 semester
The Island School is a mind, body, and spirit journey that takes students away from traditional high school curriculum and forces them to confront authentic challenges. Classes are designed to allow first-hand engagement with the people and environment of The Bahamas.
Kroka Expeditions	Semester	1 semester
Ecuador Semester from Sept. - Dec. and 600 mile ski/canoe semester from Jan. - June.
LEAPNOW	Gap Year	Full Year
Devoted to inner and outer exploration and growth. Earn a year of college credit through travel, internships and retreats.
Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki	Semester	1 semester
Maine Coast Semester is a challenging semester school emphasizing the natural world, hands-on work, sustainability, and community.
Rocky Mountain Semester	Semester	1 semester
The RMS offers 11th grade students the opportunity to focus on rigorous academics and community and leadership skills through participation in a small community on campus in Leadville, Colorado and on three wilderness expeditions through the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
School Year Abroad	Semester	Full Year
A year in Spain, Italy, France,India, or China. Heavy emphasis on learning the local language, but there are classes in English, too. *Must have 2yrs exp. in Spanish for Spain.*
Taking Off	Gap Year	Full Year
Taking Off is a highly personalized program which works with young people (ages 16-25) who are taking time off from a traditional classroom setting either before, during, or after college.

The Mountain School of Milton Academy is an independent semester program that provides high school juniors the opportunity to live and work on an organic farm in rural Vermont.
The Outdoor Academy of the Southern Appalachians	Semester	1 semester
Students experience hands-on learning in an academic community centered on a deep connection to nature, lasting relationships with one another and the excitement of living in a challenging atmosphere.

For high school juniors and seniors who are passionate about making art, Oxbow offers the nation’s only semester program that combines high-level instruction in the visual arts with academic subjects, all taught in an interdisciplinary, college-style environment.

Held at the Sierra Friends Center in Nevada City, CA. Through a focus on the issues of peace, justice, and sustainability, the Woolman Semester enriches a typical high school curriculum.
