Alumna Grace Apencha '19 Visits Upper and Middle Schools Students to Share her Experiences from Russia
Alumna Grace Apencha ’19 returned to Baltimore this summer from Russia, where she was enrolled as a student at the National Research University Higher School of Economics. She arrived in Russia two weeks before they invaded Ukraine in February 2022 and returned to the United States in July 2024. Currently, there are no colleges or universities sending students to Russia. Grace visited Friends School and spoke to Upper and Middle School Russian students, answering questions and sharing her experiences and observations.
