Ann Rogers Oster: Her Life In Work is now on display in the Katz Gallery (First floor of Forbush outside the Orchestra room) through December 3.
The new show now up in the Katz Gallery is a celebration of the life of Ann Rogers Oster. A local teacher (St. Paul’s School) and artist, Ann worked for years in a variety of mediums, but most notably pastel on sanded paper. The gallery display includes landscapes, portraits, beadwork and various ephemera graciously gathered by her family to include in the show. Ann passed away last spring and we are so pleased to be able to have her spirit live on through her artwork. Many of the portraits were drawn from life in local life drawing classes. Ann loved to work en plein air, visiting local, national, and international locations to work outside. Her appreciation for people, the natural world and color is apparent in the work.
