Calvin McCormack M.M. ’10 Receives a Fulbright Award

Calvin McCormack M.M. ’10 has been named a recipient of a Fulbright-Nehru Award by the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Through the Fulbright Program and the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF), Calvin will study and conduct research in India, designing, developing, and testing digital instruments for people with disabilities in India's rural Uttarakhand.

After graduating from Friends, Calvin earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Studies from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Music in Music Production, Technology, and Innovation from Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. Upon receiving the news from Calvin, 12th Grade Dean Josh Carlin remarked, “I am so proud of Calvin, the work that he is doing is impactful and allows him to pursue his passion for music. I am grateful that he took the time to share all the wonderful work that he is doing in India with us. I always knew Calvin was destined for greatness.”
