Hannah P. '26 Named "The Three A's" September Honoree

At Friends, our students are encouraged to be well-rounded and explore a variety of activities in academics, athletics, and the arts. This is true in many schools, but at Friends, our schedules are designed to allow our students to participate fully in each activity. We give them time and space to pursue their academic interests and extracurricular passions. Our “freedom within structure” approach provides a clear framework that empowers student agency and fosters deep, meaningful engagement. It’s what a Friends education is all about.

This year, our Athletics Department, in partnership with faculty members, is highlighting athletes who exemplify what it means to excel in "the three A's."

Congratulations to September's honoree, Hannah P. '26

Athletics - Now in her third season as the varsity starting setter, Hannah consistently raises the bar with her athletic performance, leadership, and positive attitude. She brings energy, focus, and excellence to every game and practice.

Academics - Hannah's achievements don’t stop there- her academic excellence is just as impressive. A top student in both Russian and the sciences, she also founded and leads the American Sign Language Club, runs the Russian Table at lunch, is an active member of the Climbing and Health Occupations Clubs, and served on the Student Senate as a sophomore and junior. Hannah’s intellectual curiosity and dedication make her a true academic leader.

Arts - Outside the classroom and off the court, Hannah continues to shine as a gifted musician. As the orchestra’s principal cellist, she plays with both skill and emotion, elevating the ensemble with her leadership and artistry. Her humility, kindness, and support for her peers make her a role model in every setting.
