Friends School of Baltimore and seven other area schools are partnering with The Village of Cross Keys to support local non-profit organizations this holiday season.
Participating schools will decorate giant 3’x3’x’3’ gift boxes with their interpretation of “Gifting Back to Baltimore.” The decorated gift boxes will be displayed throughout the Village Shops at Cross Keys from November 20 through December 31, where the public is invited to visit and vote for their favorite design. Based on the total number of votes received, Cross Keys will make a donation on behalf of each school to their nominated charity, with a $5,000 donation for first place, $2,500 for second place, $1,000 for third place, and $500 for all others.
At Friends, Caroline Toll '25, Victoria Cho '25, Anna Boia '25 and Olivia Pritchett '26 have been busy painting their gift box with guidance from Upper School art teacher Erin Hall '98. Our longtime community partner GEDCO CARES has been selected as our non-profit partner.
We hope that our WHOLE community - families, faculty, staff, and students will stop by Cross Keys between November 21 - December 31 to cast your vote and admire the beautiful work of our students.
