Summer at Friends
2023 Summer Camp Information
We are excited for Summer 2023! We're pleased to offer a full line-up of camps with new, more flexible options. As always you can count on intentionally small group sizes, fun-filled daily schedules, and terrific counselors. Campers can look forward to a summer of fun!
Our online Camp Portal streamlines the application process and makes it easy and convenient to enroll! Spaces are limited in all programs, and we anticipate many programs will sell out again this summer. Register early to guarantee your child’s space! All programs are open to non-Friends School students.
Staff and CIT applications will be posted mid-December. Visit the Staff Portal to apply. All applications will be online this year.
The Camp Office is open year-round. To contact us, please email email@example.com or call 410-649-3218.
Enhanced Safety Protocols
Summer at Friends will be following the safety protocols that Friends School has had in place during this school year. In addition, we follow current CDC, State and Local Health Department/Government regulations, restrictions, and guidance for camps.
Our nurse is on campus or on-call daily.
Our Communicable Disease Action Plan includes symptom-monitoring, staff training to observe and report symptoms and signs of illnesses, and an isolation area for campers or staff showing any signs of illness.
We have a Health & Safety Community Code of Conduct to help prevent illness on campus.
Currently, masks are optional for all children and adults while on campus.
Safety Protocols are subject to change at any time. Camper and staff safety is our priority. Changes in federal, state and local regulations, restrictions, and guidelines may cause us to update our safety protocols, or to cancel or alter any program, schedule, or activity at any time. Any updates will be published here.

Exciting Camp Options
Traditional Day Camps: Our popular Day Camps are jam-packed with fun-filled activities. This is the stuff childhood memories are made of!
Fine Arts Camps: For budding artists and actors, our Fine Arts Camps pull out all the stops to provide campers with hands-on experience and performance opportunities.
Creative Technology Camps: More than just tech! All of our Creative Technology Camps offer more than just time in a computer lab. Campers take advantage of our whole campus enjoying a mix of indoor and outdoor activities – including daily swimming! Entertaining lessons and exciting challenges are guided but self-paced – with as much or as little counselor assistance as needed – to inspire creativity and instill confidence!
Counselor-in-Training Program for ages 14-15.
Come play with us!
Summer at Friends offers a variety of fun, enriching day camps. Led by energetic and enthusiastic staff who love working with kids, campers form friendships and discover the joy of learning new skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Safe. Supervised. Super-fun!
Summer at Friends programs are certified by the State of Maryland for compliance with Youth Camp Safety Regulations. Our Registered Nurse is on campus or on-call during camp hours, and certified Water Safety Instructors and Lifeguards lead daily swimming instruction and recreational swim. Our team of experienced teachers and counselors guides children through a busy day that includes plenty of water breaks, sunscreen checks and camp spirit.
Experience the Quaker Dimension
In accordance with the Quaker philosophy of Friends School, our program strives to instill feelings of self-worth and confidence in every camper and to encourage respect, cooperation and consideration of others. We celebrate diversity and believe in the unique worth of each individual.
