Thank you for your interest in Friends School of Baltimore.  We look forward to working with your family. 

Our 2021-2022 Application for Admission is now available.  Please click on the button below to begin the online application.  Applications received after December 15, 2020 will be considered if there is space in the grade to which the student is applying.

As you begin the admission process with us, we encourage all families to virtually visit with us this year.  Additionally, we are happy to speak with you personally to answer any questions about Friends or our admission process.  Please contact us at admission@friendsbalt.org to schedule a call or zoom to learn more about Friends.

Important note:  All admission applicant files are now digitized,  and we request that you submit any required forms electronically via email, if possible.  If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Admission.

To apply online, you must first create an account.

  • If you are a new user, please click the button below to create an account and begin the application process.
    • We ask that you please use your first and last name as your username. (e.g. johndoe)
    • This option is not currently available on the iPad and/or Safari browser.
  • If you are a current Friends School or Little Friends parent applying for another child please use your current myFriends username and password.

Please include the $50 application fee and photo of applicant.

  • PreKindergarten - 1st Grade

    Parent Interview and Information Session
    Parent Interviews are required for applicants to Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade. Once you have completed the application, we will be in touch to schedule an interview and information session.  We are happy to have your student join in!

    Visit and Assessment Mornings
    Due to Covid 19, we will be administering our assessment either online or in a one-on-one setting.  A link to schedule your assessment morning will be sent after your application has been received.

    Common Referral Form
    Friends School requires a common referral form from current academic teachers or daycare providers.  To request a referral form from your current school/daycare, please log into your checklist on myFriends and send an email to your teacher or school. Directions are available on your checklist.
     
    If you are unable to send the referral form request through myFriends, please complete the Parent Release Form and give it to your child’s current school office along with the Common Referral Form
     
    This form is due by January 15 and must come directly from current school or daycare provider. (See AIMS Confidentiality Statement).

    Transcript Release Form
    If transcripts are available from your current school, please log into your checklist on myFriends and send a request to your teacher or school. Directions are available on your checklist. 
     
    If you are unable to send a transcript request through myFriends, please complete the Transcript Release Form and give it to your child’s current school office.  Forms should be emailed* or sent directly from your current school to Friends.  *Email is preferred.
  • Grades 2-5

    Student Shadow Day and Parent Interview
    Once we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule both a Student and a Parent Interview.

    Common Referral Form

    Admission Testing
    Students applying to grades 2-4, must take the Otis-Lennon School Aptitude Test and Stanford Achievement.  Friends will offer small group or one-on-one testing to all applicants.  We will administer the tests on dates TBD. Registration information will be sent directly to you. All applicants only complete admission testing once. Scores will be shared with additional schools upon request. 
      
    Students applying to grade 5 must take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or provide a copy of results taken within the last year. To register: Independent School Entrance Exam. Note: Students may take the ISEE more than once in a calendar year.
    Due to the pandemic, ISEE is available both in-person at testing sites as well as online with an at-home monitoring system.  Please contact ISEE with any questions.
     
  • Grades 6 -8

Candidate Notification

Applicants who have completed all the steps of the admission process will be notified on or after February 20, 2020.
