Visit Friends

Due to the unprecedented circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic, our campus is closed and our admission events are on hold for the time being.

On March 24, Friends School moved to a distance learning model for all students.  Although our campus is closed, we are still working closely with prospective students and their families.  All members of our Admission staff are eager to engage virtually with families at your convenience.

Please contact us at, or reach out directly to your specific divisional admission director.  We look forward to working with you.  Stay well.

First Look @ Friends

Our version of an open house, First Look @ Friends offers prospective families an opportunity to observe classes; meet teachers, coaches, and administrators; and engage with students about their Friends School experiences.

Our First Look @ Friends event scheduled for April 3 has been cancelled. However, a virtual First Look will be coming later in April.  Stay tuned for additional information on how to register.

Shadow Days & Interviews

All students applying to Friends must schedule a “Visit Morning” or “Shadow Day” to engage in and experience life at Friends School.

SHADOW DAYS: Students in Grades 2-12 are paired with a Friends student from their current grade (younger students may be placed with a classroom teacher); applicants for grades 6 and 9 visit the grade to which they are applying. Held from the start of school through lunch (meal included), visits also include an Admission interview for students in Grades 6-12.

VISIT MORNINGS: Applicants for Pre-Kindergarten through First Grade participate in an assessment, meet our teachers and experience Pre-Primary with other prospective students.

All parents are asked to schedule an interview with the Admission staff, to discuss their student, ask questions and learn more about Friends.

We encourage you to apply today!
