Friends School of Baltimore Alumni Association Mission
The Friends School of Baltimore Alumni Association is dedicated to actively serving the Friends community by:
- Supporting the Mission and Philosophy of the School through its actions and activities;
- Increasing alumni participation and involvement in School activities;
- Enhancing alumni connections with students, faculty, parents, and School leadership;
- Promoting pride, tradition, and loyalty among current and former students, resulting in alumni who continue to connect with Friends by contributing their time, talent and financial resources to support the School.

Meet the Alumni Association Board Members!
Chuck Barton ’68 joined Friends School at the start of his junior year of high school. He was on the football, wrestling and golf teams. As sports editor of the Quaker Quill, he was able to highlight his limited number of successes. After Friends, Chuck obtained his bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College and his MBA from Harvard. He spent his entire career in banking. While living in Rhode Island for 34 years, he served as chair of a school board and president of the Town Council. After retiring, he moved to Savannah, Georgia. where he has been active in his homeowner’s association, his church and on the golf course. Chuck is married with three grown children and seven grandchildren, who are in the process of growing.
Brad Goldbloom is a member of the Class of 1984. He played soccer and tennis and was inducted to the Friends School Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the 1984 Tennis Team. After Friends, Brad went on to study at Boston University School of Business Management (Class of 1988) and University of Baltimore School of Law (Class of 1991). He received his Juris Doctor in 1991 and was also admitted to the Maryland Bar Association the same year. Later in life he was admitted to the Florida Bar Association where he spent seven years. Brad is Principal/Partner at Hyatt & Goldbloom, LLC, a lawfirm in Baltimore City, concentrating mostly in personal injury. H&G has hosted Friends School seniors for Senior Work Projects in the past. Brad is married to Felice Goldbloom, and the father of two FSB alumni, Matthew Goldbloom ’15 and Allison (AJ) Goldbloom ’18, and step-father to Makena Stoller (RPCS ’19) and Cardin Stoller (BL ’22). Brad has two dogs and lives in Greenspring Valley.
Ted Kasper graduated with the Class of 2015 after joining the Friends community as a Pre-1st student. While on campus Ted participated in athletics, especially lacrosse, and was a member of the Upper School student government. Ted continued his athletic career at Connecticut College, graduating with a degree in Political Science and a focus on Public Health. While in school Ted developed a passion for healthcare administration and after college, decided to pursue his Masters in Health Systems Administration from Georgetown University. After graduation, Ted joined Optum Serve Health Services, where he was a part of a team focused on providing COVID Testing and Vaccinations to in need populations. Ted recently has been working on broader public health emergencies, as well as preparedness and emergency response situations for natural and man made disasters. Ted joined the Alumni board to reconnect with Friends School and give back to the Friends community and enjoys getting a chance to spend more time on campus. He currently resides in Springfield, VA, with his wife Emma Mutascio Kasper ’15 and their dog Piper.
Morgan Klausner ’13 lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her fiancé and dog. She currently works at Home Depot as a manager supporting growth strategy for Home Depot's website. Morgan went to the University of Virginia for both undergrad and business school and graduated from Friends in 2013!
Langston Lee, a 2015 graduate of Friends School of Baltimore, has built a career dedicated to public service and digital innovation. After earning his degree in Political Science from Morgan State University in 2020, Langston committed himself to efforts aimed at mainstreaming legislation in the digital landscape. Currently serving as a Digital Engagement Organizer for the New Hampshire Democratic Coordinated Campaign, Langston focuses on digital outreach in the North Country region of this crucial battleground state. His work aims to elect Democrats at all levels, from the gubernatorial and U.S. congressional races to the executive council and state legislature in this pivotal election year. His public service journey includes four years as a Constituent Services Representative for U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen, managing specialized casework involving IRS, active military, unemployment, and consumer protection issues. Langston's commitment to innovation and social equity is further exemplified by his role as a Social Venture Fellow with the Druid Hill Park Partnership and his internship with the Applied Social Media Lab at Harvard University's Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society. In these roles, he contributed to community development initiatives and projects exploring public interest-centered social media technology. Operating at the intersection of media and public policy, Langston is passionate about mainstreaming legislation in the digital landscape. He seeks to empower those often left out of the conversation and build upon his foundational public service career to address emerging civic challenges related to internet and artificial intelligence applications.
Holden Marshall ’15 is a lifelong Friends School student, having attended from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. He was a four-year starter at shortstop on the varsity baseball team. After graduating in 2015, Holden went on to play baseball at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where he earned a double major in Economics and Public Policy in 2019. He now lives in Baltimore and is a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch. In his free time, Holden enjoys golfing, rock climbing, and spending time with family in the Baltimore area.
Jeff Maylor ’01 was born and raised in Baltimore. He and his three sisters all attended Friends for upper school. Jeff has been a prosecutor for most of his career. The last two years, Jeff lived and worked in Southern Maryland where he was the Chief of the St. Mary’s County State’s Attorney’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit. Jeff and his family recently moved back to Baltimore and he is currently a Team Captain in Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office’s Gun Violence Unit.
Alison (Bomgardner) Miller ’95 attended Friends School from 1st through 12th grade and is proud to have her two children (classes of 2028 and 2032) currently at FSB! She resides with her husband and kids in Pikesville. Alison is a licensed psychologist and owns Miller Psychology Group in Lutherville. She and her team specialize in treating anxiety disorders across the lifespan, with particular focus on childhood concerns such as school anxiety, AD/HD, and selective mutism. Alison is thrilled to give back to Friends School as a part of the Alumni Association Board and looks forward to many exciting projects and events ahead!
Hilary Baldwin Ruley ’95 attended friends for 15 years. She received her Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. She now practices law in Maryland. Her daughter, Hannah, attends Friends Upper School.
Rachel Tranter is a 2001 graduate of Friends School. She attended Friends from Pre-first through 12th grade. She was chosen for the Cum Laude Society her Junior Year. In 2021, Rachel was elected to the Friends School Athletic Hall of Fame. At present, she is on the Hall of Fame Committee and serve as their Chair. Rachel graduated from Amherst College in 2005. At Amherst, she double majored in History and Spanish and played Field Hockey and Lacrosse. After college, Rachel worked in New York City in finance. A few years later she returned to Baltimore where she pivoted from finance to working in development for a private school and then for nonprofits.
