Scarlet & Gray Day

Scarlet & Gray Day & Rivalry Day 2025
Saturday, September 27, 2025
Friends School of Baltimore—the city’s first school, founded in 1784—is celebrating 100 years on Charles Street with our most spirited tradition, Scarlet & Gray Day. Friends School’s version of homecoming, the event features Rivalry Day matchups against Park School, our fiercest rival.
Come out with your family to cheer on our athletic teams, enjoy the carnival, play field games, listen to live music, and savor delicious food. Rain or shine, it’s a celebration of Friends School spirit you won’t want to miss!
Volunteer Information
Many parent volunteers are needed to make this day a success. The first 15 volunteers to sign up will receive 10 free carnival tickets (a $10 value). All volunteers will also be entered into a random drawing for one of 10 free Scarlet & Gray Day T-shirts.

This Scarlet & Gray Day, we are celebrating an important milestone: 100 Years on Charles Street. In 1925, guided by the vision of Head of School Edward Willson, Friends purchased the land our campus occupies today, originally intended for athletic fields and a clubhouse. In honor of this, we invite you to join us on Deering Field for a ceremonial coin toss celebrating this historic anniversary.
