Parents Association

Supporting the Friends community

The Friends School Parents Association is a dynamic, welcoming organization dedicated to enriching the lives of the children and inspiring a sense of community by providing a structure for parents, caregivers, and family members to become involved in the activities of the school. We are always looking for volunteers, and there is a way for everyone to get involved, from serving on a committee, volunteering in the classroom, working on projects from home, or planning an event. You can volunteer on your own time.

The Parents Association supports a wide range of programs and materials that supplement and enhance the student experience.  Past initiatives have included purchasing Lower School band and orchestra Instruments, makerspace items for the Middle School and a robotics kit and woodworking lathe for the Upper School. Last year, we pivoted with our community to ensure that our students continued to learn safely in hybrid models by fulfilling items on the School’s Wish List in support of COVID safety. In addition to successfully modifying existing PA programs, we launched a DEI Speaker Series and initiated DEI Conversations with parent/caregiver groups, as well as created a new community building project, Recipes Among Friends.

All parents and caregivers of students enrolled in Friends School are members of our organization, and we encourage you to get involved. It is only through your invaluable gift of time that the Parents Association is able to achieve our goals. We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events!
