Christine Monk Huxtable '87 Scholarship Effort

Christine Monk Huxtable ’87 tragically passed away on February 23, 2018. Christine’s connection to Friends School stretched far beyond the Class of 1987; her mother, Linda, is Class of 1963 graduate, her brother Gage graduated with the Class of 1992, and her uncle, Tom LaMonica ’67 taught and coached at Friends for many years. We remember Christine’s dedication to education and teaching, and her legacy lives on in those students, friends and loved ones who knew her. Recently, Jennifer Brown Bunkley ’87 has partnered with Christine’s family and the Class of 1987 to set up the Christine Monk Huxtable ’87 Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund honors Christine’s legacy by providing financial assistance to qualified students who hope to attend Friends School.

Jennifer, the Class of 1987 and Christine’s family are seeking to raise $25,000 for this fund. A gracious anonymous donor is amplifying this effort by matching all new gifts $1 for $1, up to $10,000 through Dec. 31, 2018!

Goal: Raise $25,000 for the Scholarship Fund with 100% participation from the Class of 1987.
