Health and Safety Protocols

Friends School of Baltimore is committed to the safety and health of its community and to providing excellent, in-person educational programming for its students. The School provides the following protocols to guide the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

As we have all experienced for many months now, this is an ever-changing situation. The School, with the guidance of the Medical Advisory Group (MAG), continues to monitor the data available and continues to highly recommend full vaccination for all employees and eligible students, including those 12 years old and older.

One Proof of Health is required for each student (and employee) in order to return to campus. All students (except Little Friends students) must provide the School Nurse’s Office one of the two following forms of Proof of Health, prior to their first in-person, on campus activity (e.g. pre-season, orientation, first day of class)

    • A negative PCR COVID 19 test, four (4) days prior to your return to campus
    OR
    • A copy of the student’s COVID-19 vaccination record

How to Submit COVID-19 Vaccination Records:
The School is working with Magnus Health to establish a self-service portal for submitting your student(s)’ COVID-19 vaccination record. By providing proof of vaccination, your student(s) will not need to be tested prior to the start of school. Instructions about how to log into Magnus Health will be shared via email soon. The site is not available yet, and we are working diligently towards launching the portal as soon as possible.

    PCR Testing:
On Campus - We have scheduled on-campus testing through Avalon Laboratories for August 26, 2021 from 9am - 5pm. If you choose to test on campus, there will be a $75 test fee per person, and employees will be charged. Click here to register for testing through Avalon Laboratories

On Your Own - If you wish to avoid the $75 fee, please schedule to be tested at one of the many free test sites in our area, such as the Baltimore Convention and the Timonium Fairgrounds. You will need to upload a copy of your student(s)’ negative PCR test results through Magnus Health. Instructions about how to log into Magnus Health will be shared via email soon. The site is not available yet, and we are working diligently towards launching the portal as soon as possible.

    Little Friends Students:
