Baltimore Homecoming

The Alumni Office recently welcomed some of Friends' most accomplished alumni from around the country back to Baltimore for the inaugural Baltimore Homecoming, Inc. Conference. The goal of the conference was to educate expats about the exciting cultural and business developments underway in Baltimore and to enlist their support as brand ambassadors in helping to positively shape the national narrative about Baltimore. Conference committee members included Julie Bowen (Actress), Calvin Butler (CEO, BG&E), Josh Charles (Actor), Congressman Elijah Cummings, Ron Daniels (Pres. Johns Hopkins University), Amanda Lipitz (Producer), Wes Moore (Author & CEO, Robin Hood), Kevin Plank (CEO & Chairman, Under Armour) and Joyce Scott (Artist & MacArthur Fellow).

Friends’ alumni attendees represented multiple industries including, tech design, film, journalism, marketing, market research, and music to name a few. Robbin Lee, conference coordinator, engaged with members of the Friends contingent throughout the three-day conference, noting, “There was an amazing sense of community among Friends School alums and they helped me to learn that it's this sense of giving back that has been instilled in them since their days at Friends.
