A beloved Friends School tradition continued on Wednesday, October 2 as students and faculty dispersed throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area for Quaker Community Day. This annual day of service is yet another opportunity for Upper School students and faculty to ‘let their lives speak’ and engage in community-based volunteering. Friends School is proud to partner with organizations like Art With a Heart, Govans Elementary School, the McKim Community Association, Paul’s Place, and several others on this community day of learning.
The day began with various networking sessions with community partners that students could sign up for in advance. Mid-morning, most students departed on foot to the iconic Homewood Friends Meetinghouse. The day closed with a special keynote and Meeting for Worship at the Homewood Friends School.
