Christopher Armstrong ‘21 pens new Friends School 'Spirit Song'

Junior Christopher Armstrong and his trademark red saxophone are both cherished members of the Friends School community. Armstrong, who played an important role in forming the entirely student-run band The Constellations, is adding another impressive achievement to his portfolio after penning a new spirit song for Friends.

The song was brought to life by the Morgan State University band and debuted to a riled-up Quaker Nation during the schoolwide pep rally on October 18, 2019. FSB Sports Information Director, Ken Zalis, had approached Armstrong earlier about writing a theme song for the Athletics Department. And the result is now history.
