New Boys Volleyball Program Coordinator Announced New era for the program ushered in.
Baltimore, July 24, 2020: The Friends School of Baltimore Athletic Department announced today that they have hired a new Coach and Program Coordinator to lead the Boys Volleyball Program. Mikhail Williamson was named the Program Coordinator and Head Coach. Mikhail joins the program from Goucher College.
A graduate of Catholic LIU Brooklyn with a BS in Sports Management and a MS in Exercise Physiology & Nutrition and Goucher College with an MS in Athletic Leadership & Administration. Mikhail has been coaching for over 5 years. Mikhail last served as the Interim head coach for the Track and Field and Cross Country programs at Goucher. He also coached Volleyball, as well as Track at LIU. At Goucher, Mikhail coordinated the team practices and event schedules, for 30 student athletes and worked with Sports Medicine Staff for the rehabilitation of 10 injured student-athletes. He provided technical and professional supervision of collegiate athletes to increase speed and reduce injuries and empowered Student-Athletes and staff to promote cohesive team atmosphere. Mikhail managed the operation and recruiting budget. Mikhail also worked closely with all event groups by designing and administering training cycles, which resulted in 3 indoor school records and 1 Conference title. We are very excited to add Mikhail to the Quaker family.
In addition to the hiring of Mikhail, the Boys Volleyball program would also like to welcome Craig Jessup. Craig will serve as the Assistant Coach for the Volleyball team and comes to Friends by way of Towson University where he served as an assistant coach for the Men’s and Women’s Volleyball teams.
