Visit Friends

"You can always tell a Friends kid." That’s what college admission officers, local nonprofits, business leaders, and families, like yours, tell us. It’s in the confidence, maturity, and sense of purpose they bring to every learning situation – whether in the classroom, on the playing field, on stage or out in the community, where they work to bring about positive change.

It’s in the openness, respect, and genuine empathy with which even our younger students engage with adults and with one another. And it’s in the smiles and joyous laughter that comes so naturally when children feel comfortable in their own skin.

Visit our vibrant campus and see for yourself how our Quaker-based educational program develops not just great minds, but great people.

We invite you to visit Friends School - schedule a tour or shadow day, or attend an event - we can't wait to meet you!

First Look @ Friends

Our version of an Open House gives prospective families the opportunity to sit in classes and see our teachers teach, meet faculty and administrators and talk to our students and ask them “what makes a Friends education so wonderfully unique.”

Please register for one of our First Look @ Friends events.

Shadow Days & Interviews

All students applying to Friends must schedule a “Visit Morning” or “Shadow Day” to engage in and experience life at Friends School.

SHADOW DAYS: Students in Grades 2-12 are paired with a Friends student from their current grade (younger students may be placed with a classroom teacher); applicants for grades 6 and 9 visit the grade to which they are applying. Held from the start of school through lunch (meal included), visits also include an Admission interview for students in Grades 6-12.

VISIT MORNINGS: Applicants for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 1 get an assessment, meet our teachers and experience Pre-Primary with other prospective students.

All parents are asked to schedule an interview with the Admission staff, to discuss their student, ask questions and learn more about Friends.
