Athletic Training

Ensuring our athletes are healthy and ready to play

All of our students in the Middle and Upper Schools participate in our athletic program, our Athletic Trainer plays an important role in ensuring our athletes and teams are healthy and ready to play. Working under the indirect supervision of our team physician, the Athletic Trainer is on-site to triage injuries that occur during practices or games. The athletic training room is also available to all student-athletes on a daily basis for game and practice preparation, evaluation, treatment of injuries, and rehabilitation.

The fitness center is a great resource for students to help maintain and improve their overall physical fitness. A strength and conditioning coach is available each afternoon to help educate and train our teams, as well as work with any member of our community.

Concussion Assessment

The Friends School utilizes an innovative tool to evaluate concussions sustained by our student-athletes. The software tool, called ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing), helps determine if an athlete is ready to return to activity following a concussion.
