Summer Opportunities

During the summer, Friends remains a vibrant campus that is alive with activity. In addition to Summer at Friends, our campus hosts a variety of enrichment opportunities such as the Summer Institute, Band Camp, Middle Grades Partnerships, and Superkids

      Band Camp

Band Camp

Now in its 25th year, Friends' Band Camp annually serves young musicians in grades 5 through 8 from more than a dozen area public, private, and homeschools at no cost. This year's program will take place weekdays, June 19 through 30, from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Middle Grades Partnership

This nationally recognized program helps prepare more than 600 students to thrive in high school, college and beyond; the Middle Grades Partnership aspires to provide a core of leadership for Baltimore. MGP brings together independent and public schools to provide learning opportunities for middle school students in Baltimore. Since 2005, MGP has empowered more than 1,200 students to thrive in Baltimore’s best public high schools.

    • Superkids

      Superkids

Superkids Camps

Established in 1994, SuperKids Camp is a six-week program for Baltimore City rising second, third, and fourth graders that focuses on literacy, math skills, character development, and environmental education. The camp has provided experiences for thousands of young people while providing an enriching curriculum of activities and field trips. Volunteers are an integral part of SuperKids program and many Friends Upper School students serve as volunteers. This program is located at several different sites including Friends.
