About the League

Friends School Indoor Soccer League is designed for all abilities except club/travel players. We try to balance the teams so that the games can be competitive. There are no practices.  On the application, you can indicate up to two friends your child would like to play with. We will do our best to honor these requests. Coaches will e-mail schedules to the parents no later than the WEEKEND before the first game.

About our Coaches

Our coaches are all volunteers. They are parents, like you, who enjoy the sport and working with the children. Please consider giving your time and talents. If you have any questions please contact us or click on the links below.

Leagues, Scoring, and Standings

We do keep score and the season ends with a champion in each league. The playoff format will be determined based on the number of teams in any given age group.  There are six leagues: 6/7 boys, 6/7 girls, 8/9 boys, 8/9 girls, 10/11 boys, 10/11 girls. Ages 6 & 7 may be combined into a co-ed team.

Safety

Friends School’s Indoor Soccer Coaching Coordinator, Salvador Mendoza, is in charge of the operation and will be present during games. He is CPR and First-Aid certified and an AED unit is located in the gymnasium lobby. For emergency assistance, dial 5555 from any on-campus phone or 410-649-3245. To ensure the safety of all children, at least one parent must remain in the gymnasium with their child during games. Parents may not leave children alone on campus.

In the Event of Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, announcements will be made on the main Friends School website (www.friendsbalt.org) and on the Friends School Weather Information Line (410-649-3311).

Therefore, the School reserves the right to dismiss or not re-enroll the child if the School concludes, in its sole discretion, that the actions of a parent or guardian make such a positive relationship unnecessarily difficult, interfere with the School’s operation, are not supportive of the School’s goals, or adversely affect the reputation of the School. The School reserves the right to dismiss or not re-enroll the child if the School concludes, in its sole discretion, that the needs or demands made by or on behalf of the child or the child’s parents or guardians place undue burden on the resources of the School.
