Friends School Summer Theater presents “Little Shop of Horrors” July 22-24

Friends School Summer Stock Theater will present the comedy-horror rock musical “Little Shop of Horrors” on Friday and Saturday, July 22 and 23, at 7:30 pm, and on Sunday, July 24, at 2 pm in the newly refurbished (and air conditioned!) Friends School Auditorium (Building 3A on the Campus Map). All tickets are $10 (general seating) and are available at the door or in advance from a cast member. Based on the 1960 film directed by Roger Corman (nicknamed the low-budget “Pope of Pop Cinema”), “Little Shop” follows the misadventures of Seymour Krelborn, a hapless florist shop worker, who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. Recommended for PG-13 audiences, the show is chock-full of mischievous fun and upbeat music. Summer Stock alumnus Isaac Lunt directs with music direction by Friends’ own Michael McVey.
