Competing at the Maryland Independent State Tournament February 19-20, four-year Varsity wrestler Jack Schreck ’17 became Friends School’s first place-winner, taking 6th, and our first to qualify for the National Prep Tournament, held at Lehigh University Feb. 24-25, in at least eight years, according to coach Bill Hardy. The Quakers fared well in the tournament, placing 5th and concluding the season with a 7-2 record in the B Conference, and a 7-9 record against all MIAA teams (A & B Conference). “The team had a challenging schedule, wrestling 31 dual matches over the season; not including the individual tournaments in which some wrestlers competed, giving some of our wrestlers up to 45 matches during the season,” he said.
