Pete Levin ’97, a Los Angeles-based stop motion animator, has been named to T Brand Studio's "2017 Selects." T Brand Studio is the brand marketing unit of The New York Times. In May, Levin met with Middle and Upper School students to talk about his work for television, music videos, and even the Orioles' jumbotron. He explained that he loves the genre of stop motion because it allows him to explore “nearly every art from, from sculpture and painting, to film and even lighting.” Reflecting on his Friends School education Pete expressed gratitude for the Quaker values he learned, especially simplicity and equality, which he says help him stay grounded "in spite of living near Hollywood." Check out some of Pete’s work on his website.
