Education pioneer

Goucher College president DrJosé Antonio Bowen will share his insights on The Future of Education on Tuesday evening, November 28, 7 pm, in the Friends School of Baltimore Forbush Auditorium (3A on the Campus Map). This event, made possible by the Friends School Class of 2000 Lecture Series, is open to the public and admission is free. Click here to register.

A pioneer in active learning and the use of technology, Dr. Bowen made national headlines when he announced the college would accept two-minute videos from applicants in lieu of high school transcripts. His book, Teaching Naked: How Moving Technology out of your College Classroom will Improve Student Learning, was the 2013 winner of the Ness Award for Best Book on Higher Education from the American Association of Colleges and Universities.
