Upper School presents “Pygmalion” November 17-18

The Upper School will present George Bernard Shaw’s ''Pygmalion'' on Friday and Saturday, November 17- 18, 7:30 pm, in the Forbush Auditorium. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased online by clicking here

A brilliant reworking of the classic Greek myth, Pygmalion tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a poor young girl whose rough appearance and dialect make her the object of scorn. When his language lessons produce remarkable results in Eliza's looks and manner, phoneticist Henry Higgins places a bet that he can transform his protégé into a duchess "at ease in polite society." The one thing he overlooks is that his creation has a mind of her own.

The outstanding cast includes Jack Barrett ’18 as Professor Higgins, Baiz Hoen ’18 as Eliza Doolittle, Pace Schwarz ’19 as Colonel Pickering, Jane Sartwell ’18 as Mrs. Higgins, Penn Hoen ’20 as Alfred Doolittle, Maren Helmacy ’20 as Mrs. Pearce, Julia Parker ’20 as Mrs. Eynesford-Hill, Chase Andre ’18 as Freddy Eynesford-Hill, and AJ Goldbloom ’18 as Clara Eynesford-Hill; with Amelia Martin ’20 as the parlor maid, Quinn Parker ’20 and Annabelle Ward ’20 as the Ambassador and his wife, Alex Wienner ’18 as Nepomuk, Victoria Fowler ’19 and Ana Lane ’21 as the bystanders, Jack Corkum ’20 as the Taximan, and Nick Von Schnell ’21 and Morgan Moore ’20 as Constables.
